Be a part of SpaceFinder Edmonton Launch to Community Space

Arts Habitat Edmonton invites you to list your space on SpaceFinder Alberta, a searchable online marketplace connecting those who have a space with those who need a space. Whether it is a community hall, café, a church, or a reclaimed space, artists, event planners and not-for-profit organizations need space for everything from producing to rehearsing to storage. Venues can be listed with hourly, daily and monthly rates as well as long-term rentals.

SpaceFinder Alberta currently has 80 venues listed in the Capital region, with a goal of 250 by the end of summer 2017.

Venues vary from unconventional spaces, such as a 100 Square ft. studio in Oliver’s Made Local Society building, to some of Edmonton’s most popular venues like the Francis Winspear Centre.

Bleeding Heart Art Space is a multidisciplinary venue and gallery in the heart of 118th Avenue and was the first to list on SpaceFinder.

“It’s been easy to set up a profile on SpaceFinder, and the fact that the site handles everything from space listing to rental payments saves me time and stress. The more rentals we run through SpaceFinder, the simpler our admin process becomes – good news for us and our renters. SpaceFinder connects our little, perhaps undiscovered community art centre with people looking for creative space. I look forward to more community and creative endeavours at Bleeding Heart Art Space thanks to SpaceFinder.” – Dave Von Bieker, Owner of Bleeding Heart Art Space

Shumka Dance Centre, located downtown, is one of Edmonton’s newest arts hubs and opened in September 2016.

“The Shumka Dance Centre has four different studio spaces for rent to the community. Through SpaceFinder, we are able to get the word out to organizations looking for this type of space. It’s a great networking tool for venues AND artists!” – Darka Tarnawsky, Executive Director of Ukrainian Shumka Dancers
