We are proud of ArtsHub Housing Cooperative (affectionately known as “ArtsHub 118") as the newest artist co-op community living and working in Edmonton, specifically on the second and third floors of a newly built mixed-used building on Alberta Avenue in Edmonton … above the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts.
On June 30, 2011 Arts Habitat, along with partners Edmonton Inner City Housing Society and Artists Urban Village, celebrated the official opening of ArtsHub Housing Cooperative!
This project is a new cornerstone in the arts-led revitalization of Alberta Avenue. The co-op will allow artists to live and work in a dynamic community that is highly motivated to support the arts. ArtsHub is a democratically run entity whose membership is comprised of the residents.
ArtsHub was funded with a $2.4 million grant from the Cornerstones Program, an affordable housing program supported by the City of Edmonton and the Government of Alberta.
The co-op offers 16 light-filled apartment style units ranging from 728 – 802 square feet at below market rates.
Spaces are available to artists, non-profit arts professionals and cultural industry professionals who meet the income requirements for affordable housing. When you apply for space, please review the Co-Op criteria Information documents for guidelines. (This link will download a file to your computer)
Short-listed applicants will be interviewed.
