Erika Germain Open Studio Event

Please join Arts Habitat’s current artist-in-residence Erika Germain on Saturday, October 21 from 4-8 PM for an open studio, as well as a ritual of exchange where you are welcome to participate in her residency project, “Tell Me What You’re Searching For And I’ll Help You Look“.

This is the first event of a year-long project where Erika will be inviting members of the public to participate in a social practice-based artwork, where monoprint paintings will be given away in exchange for handwritten notes from willing participants. These notes will then be used as the basis for a body of work produced throughout the remainder of the residency which will explore themes of language, translation, ritual and community.

There will be refreshments, art give-ways, an opportunity to get to know our artist-in-residence, and time to hang out and have some fun. We hope to see you there!
